Church and Churchyard Maintenance Day - tomorrowPlease can you offer your help on Saturday 25th July to carry out all kinds of work in the church and churchyard - minor maintenance, mending, tidying, deep cleaning. Starting at 10am, lasting until 3pm - come for as much or as little as you can - the more people the more we can do to care for the building. Cream Tea in the Rectory GardenA Deanery Social event - from 2.30-4pm on August 2nd. Please bring a chair. All Welcome. The Rectory, Main Street, Wheldrake (near the church, the other side of the residential home). Lammas Service and Healing ServiceLammas also known as Loaf Mass Day, is a festival in the liturgical calendar to mark the blessing of the First Fruits of harvest, with a loaf of bread being brought to the church for this purpose. East Cottingwith Saturday 1st August 4pm. Pray for healing - Wheldrake Saturday 8th August 7pm. PGSThe Parish Giving Scheme is the best way to give regularly to Elvington Church (better than a standing order). Please consider a regular donation t the church using Parish Giving - it is far better than standing orders and allows us a hassle-free way to access gift-aid on your donation.
